Omagh Sports Forum is made up of a cross section of public and community/sport representatives from the Omagh district. One of the main objectives of the forum is to receive applications for Grant Aid, Bursaries and Gold Card scheme on a monthly basis (except August) agree Grant/Bursary amounts for each application in accordance with the certain criteria and guidelines.

So if your Sports Club, Community group or Organisation need funds to assist in delivery of programmes, go on courses, organise public sporting events or buy sports equipment then the Omagh Sports Forum can help if you meet the necessary criteria.

The Chairman of Omagh Sports Forum, Councillor Bert Wilson said “This is an ideal opportunity for all local Sports clubs and organisations to avail of local financial assistance, especially in this time of economic uncertainty, to assist clubs in continuing vital sporting and physical activity programmes for the people of the Omagh district”.

Omagh Sports Forum is funded by Omagh District Council on an annual basis, and applications are considered at a monthly meeting, held usually the first Wednesday each month. Clubs and organisation seeking financial assistance must have applications submitted at least 3 days prior to Omagh Sports Forum meeting, clubs may apply  up to twice per financial year (April-March) and Individuals seeking a bursary once per year.

The types of Grants available cover:

Coaching Courses-up to £350

Club Equipment-up to £250

Open Club Grant –up to £250

Sports Bursaries-up to £400
