Galbally And Gortin Meet In Play Offs

Galbally and Gortin go head to head at Kildress on Saturday afternoon in the division two promotion play off final with Moortown awaiting the winners for a place in senior football for 2012. Six days after losing out in the Intermediate championship final to Kildress the Pearses returned to winning ways with a comfortable win over Clann na Gael but they are well aware that a much tougher test lies ahead here. They will look for big performances from the likes of Terry Donnelly, Martin Brannigan, Paul Rafferty, Kieran McCrory and team captain Mickey Murphy. Gortin only found out that they were in the play offs a few weeks ago but you would never have noticed as they recorded an eye catching win away to a fancied Rock side last weekend. They have already beaten Galbally this season but a lot more is at stake this time round and Barry Daly, Brian McGarvey, Diarmuid McNulty, Shane Clarke and Kevin Mossey will all have key roles to play.
