Galbally Win U14 Championship Title

Galbally added the grade two U14 Championship title to their Feile crown when they proved too strong for a gallant Moy side at Beragh on Monday evening. The Pearses got off to an unbelievable start and that laid the foundations for their victory. The winners had the ball in the Moy net five times inside the opening eight minutes with Mia Arthurs and Rachel Kelly getting a brace each with Clara Carberry also raising a green flag.
To their credit Moy responded with three goals of their own with corner forward Rhianne McLoughlin getting two of them. Galbally though responded with two goals from team Captain Eilish Tally and three points from Leanna Corrigan to leave them well in control at the short whistle.
Kelly and Corrigan added points on the restart with Tally completing her hattrick but Moy kept plugging away with Emma Holmes notching all of their seven second half points. Galbally though finished strongly with points from Corrigan and goals from Kelly and Carberry to take the silverware, Pearses keeper Shona Loughran saving a penalty late on.
