Eglish played host to Clonoe in Grade 1 and it proved to be a brilliant, high scoring encounter with the home side prevailing on a 8-8 to 7-6 scoreline. Matthew Daly and Senan Donnelly were among the scorers for the winners with good performances coming from John Stewart, Joel Marrion and Henry McKenna. Conor Taggart, Eoin Ferguson and Feidhlim O’Hagan were among the goals for the O’Rahillys with the trio also contributing points as did Ben O’Neill while Ryan Connolly and Jamie Coney both played well.

 

It finished all square between Galbally and Trillick at Pearse Park, 2-13 to 4-7. James Carberry bagged both goals for the Pearses with Tiernan Corrigan 0-5 and Joseph Moylan 0-4 among their points. Galbally keeper Paidi Hetherington made two great saves for the hosts while his opposite number denied Dara McVeigh with a good stop late on.

 

Ardboe had two games recently in grade 1. Against Dungannon Cahir McKeown, Ciaran McKeown and Conan Doris were their main scorers on the day with good displays coming from Luke Muldoon and Brogan Devlin. At the weekend they recorded a 2-10 to 2-5 victory at home to Cappagh. In this game Odhran Coleman, Ciaran McKeown and Ruairi O’Neill were among their scorers with Cahir McKeown, Luke Muldoon and Shea McGinley playing well.

 

Dungannon made it three wins in a row when they had a good result away to Cookstown. Sean Toner, Eoin Spence, Corin Kelly and Sean Og O’Donnell all grabbed goals for the Clarkes with good performances coming from Tommy Mullan, Daire Doran and Conal Devlin.

 

In Grade 2 Na Doiri Oga just did about enough to hold off Pomeroy in an entertaining encounter, 4-10 to 4-7 the final scoreline. Key players for the winners were Jude O’Boyle, Callum McCann, Caedon Doyle and Cathair Campbell with scores coming from the likes of Corbin O’Neill, Matthew McGuigan, Ben O’Neill, Cathal McErlean and Campbell.

 

Naomh Brid came out on top by the minimum margin against Rock in Grade 3, 1-9 to 1-8 the final scoreline. The winners were three behind with time running out but they fought back to get a wonderful equaliser from Charlie McVeigh before  they grabbed the winning score from a Patrick Quinn free, the same player had earlier scored their goal. Caolan McGahan was excellent in goals for Naomh Brid with full back Daire O’Neill also standing out in what was his first game of the season. Fionn Daly and Callum Hughes got all of Rock’s total between them with Daimonas Ramsa having a great game in goals.

 

Moortown came from six points down at halftime to draw at home with Naomh Eoghan, 3-7 apiece the final scoreline. Cathair Rocks, Emmett Kelly and Shay Monaghan got the goals for the St.Malachys with Oisin McVey, Kealan Crozier and Cormac Conlan featuring among their points.

 

Coalisland had the minimum to spare over Killeeshil at Father Campbell Park, 2-8 to 1-10 the final scoreline. Tommy O’Neill and Brendan Fee got the goals for the Fianna with Conor Timlin landing a few points while Reece Fee and Oisin McShane both played well in defence. Killeeshil got off to the perfect start with a Pearse Devlin goal from the throw in. Luke McCoubrey 0-4, Jack Holland 0-3, Pearse Devlin 0-2 and Ethan Mulgrew 0-1 got their points and they had their noses in front until the final minute when the hosts grabbed a winning goal.

Moy lost out narrowly away to Eskra. Charlie Conroy, Tiernan McGlone and Hugh McLoughlin were among the Moy scorers with Alex McCann, Conor Kerr and Ruairi McGrath all playing well for them.

 

In the Development league Ardboe and Carrickmore went head to head with Ollie Mallon the Rossas main scorer on the day with top performances coming from both Tommy O’Hare and Harry Quinn.
