They may have conceded five goals but Cookstown still manged to come out on top away to Omagh on a 4-6 to 5-2 scoreline to make it two wins from two in grade one. Matthew Ward top scored for the visitors with 2-2 to his name with Matthew McElhatton and Conor Fitzpatrick also finding the net while Eoin McElhatton and Jake Mulligan featured among the points. There were also good displays for the Father Rocks from Cormac Quinn, Tyler Rogers and Eoin Lennon.

 

Galbally are another side with a full quota of points from two outings after winning away to neighbours Donaghmore. Lorcan Quinn, Dara McVeigh, Jayden Dorman and Paidi Hetherington all played well for the Pearses on a day when Finbar Quinn, Daniel McCrory and Neil McElroy got goals. Marty Ogle and Adam Collins were the Donaghmore goal scorers with good displays coming from Reece Jones in defence and Padraig Donaghy in attack.

 

 

In grade two Clonoe picked up a hard earned victory away to Greencastle. John Joe Taggart 2-1, Eoghan Colton 0-5, Eoin Ferguson 0-4, Senan Clements 1-1, Conor Coney 0-2 and Charlie Taggart 0-1 were the marksmen for the Rahillys with good displays coming from Danny Hughes, Sean Loughran ad Senan Kelly.

 

Dungannon made the trip to play Fintona with the home side laying the foundations for their win with a strong first half display. The Clarkes hit back in the second half with Daire Doran and Sean Toner most effective around the middle and some excellent scores from Jamie Neeson and Cormac Doran but it wasn’t enough for the visitors against a more physical Fintona side.

 

In grade three goals made the difference as Pomeroy came out on top away to Killeeshil. Ryan McWilliams, Padraig Murphy and Pat Bloomer were among the goals for the Plunketts. Killeeshil had good performances from Brendan Quinn and Padraig Small in defence, Oisin Callaghan at midfield and Barry Daly and Finn Donnelly up front, Daly and Conor Morgan bagging their goals.

 

Edendork battled hard but on the day they came up against an Eskra side that contained several skilful footballers. Finn O’Connor got the goal for the St.Malachys with RJ McCann and Daniel McCaul both playing well.

 

Moy were in fine scoring form away to Moortown. Despite playing against the wind Moy settled quickest with a brace of goals from Finn O’Neill either side of a Jack Harvey point. Moortown responded but Moy closed out the first half with points from McGlone, Harvey and McKearney as well as a Conor Garry goal. In the second half a strong defensive platform from the Devlin brothers, Rory McCool and Rory McGrath allowed Moy to push on and hit a number of long range points. Donal Devlin raised a green flag as did Daniel Mullan with the score of the game after being sent through by Jack Lawless. Emmett Kelly and Oisin McVey got the Moortown goals with Cormac Conlon notching a brace of points.

 

Rock were another side who were in fine scoring form on their travels against Naomh Brid. Fionn Daly and Aodhan Loughran were both very accurate in attack for the winners with Ruairi O’Hagan and Dylan Quinn standing out in their defence. Caolan McKee got both Naomh Brid points in the first half but they played much better after the break. Odhran Mallon, McKee, Daithi Daly and Jack McCroy all scored points while Charlie Fee got their goal.

 

 

In grade four Brackaville found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreline away to Aghyaran. Joseph Gillis and Adam Callan got a goal each for the Ros with Padraig Morgan, Callan and Seamie Currie among their point scorers.

 

Stewartstown did just enough to hold off Urney ion home soil, 1-9 to 2-4 the final scoreline. Half forward Kaiden O’Neill hit 1-1 for the Harps, James Hughes got 0-4 and centre half back Jack Devlin 0-2 while keeper Conan Kelly made a brilliant penalty save.

 

In the Development league goals won the day for Omagh away to Ardboe. Shea Canavan and Lorcan Cleman were among the leading scorers for the Rossas with strong performances coming from Cillian Quinn, Cormac Vallely and Conn McKeown.

 

Galbally made home advantage count against Dromore to make it bac to back wins. Cathal Mulgrew, Kieran McDonald, John Rafferty, Jude Jordan, Cayden Mulgrew and Finbar McVeigh all played well for the Pearses.
