Good Win For Academy In Dalton Cup

St.Patrick’s Academy Dungannon made it back to back wins in this season’s Dalton Cup when they defeated St.Pats Maghera 8-13 to 5-13 at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown. A superb first half display against a strong wind helped lay the foundations for their victory. Kevin Barker, Peter Haughey and Conall Devlin stood out in defence with centre half back Lewis Conlon running at Maghera with every opportunity. Patrick Keogh and Lorcan Quinn fought hard at midfield with Neil Kilpatrick, Ryan McCabe and Michael Conroy all playing well up front. Next up is their final group game against St.Colmans Newry. Scorers on the day for the Academy were Michael Conroy [4-5], Ryan McCabe [2-2], Lewis Conlon [1-1], Neil Kilpatrick [1-1], Peter Haughey [0-1], Lorcan Quinn [0-1], Patrick Keogh [0-1] and Tiarnan Loughran [0-1].
