Rock were strongly fancied at home to Gortin in their promotion clash on Saturday afternoon but it was the visitors who came out on top in style winning on a 1-13 to 1-3 score line. The visitors led 0-7 to 1-1 at the break with Pete O’Neill, Diarmuid McNulty and Kevin Mossey among their points, Conor McCreesh with the Rock goal. McCreesh and Eamon Ward reduced the deficit on the restart but then Gortin took over with McNulty grabbing a goal and Michael Mossey, Peter Clarke and Kevin McCullagh all supplying points as they set up a meeting with Galbally.
