CLUB | Gortin Launch New Training Area

The Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Thomas O’Reilly conducted the Official Opening of a new training area at Gortin St Patrick’s GAA Club Grounds on Friday evening, the 26th June 2015. The launch provided an opportunity for the Gortin community to say ‘Thank You’ to the council for their contribution of £16,434 from the council’s Capital Grant Scheme, and to the volunteers who worked hard to deliver the project.
The project provides an extension to Gortin St. Patrick’s training facilities, also used by Badoney Ladies GFC, and involved re-claiming a section of unused ground to create a small training field and add a shelter at the club’s training pitch. The new facilities not only provide a pre-match warm up area, but also create much needed additional capacity for the club’s 150 Youth Members to train and play.
