Gortin St Patrick’s Announce Cycle Details
Tuesday 04.03.2014
Gortin St Patrick’s GAA Club is delighted to announce the return of the Gortin St Patrick’s Charity Cycle, taking place on Sunday 16th March 2014. The cycle was held for the first time in 2012, and proved to be a fantastic community event attracting both young and not so young to the Sperrin mountains to face its challenges. This year the event is supporting two local charities; the Child Brain Injury Trust and the Cedar Foundation. Both charities are currently providing valuable help to club members who are recovering from brain injuries. This event provides opportunities for cyclists of all abilities to take part in 60, 30 and 10 mile routes where hills and valleys of the Sperrin Mountains present a test to even the most experienced cyclists. But the satisfaction of beating this challenge makes it well worth it as participants relax afterwards with a bowl of Irish Stew and a Pint of Guinness!
The club is also delighted to announce that O’Neill’s Sportswear are offering a custom designed event top to this year’s sponsored cyclists! In addition, all sponsored cyclists who reach the sponsorship target of £60 (adult) and £40 (child) will be entered into a free prize draw where prizes include 2 Premium Tickets to Gareth Brooks.
