Grade Four Minor Title For Naomh Brid

The Grade Four minor final between Naomh Brid and Brackaville turned out to be a most enjoyable game between two very evenly matched sides with Naomh Brid’s Eoghan Mc Gahan picking up the man of the match award.
After a very close and competitive first half the sides reached the break tied at 0-6 each with Shea Gates scoring all six points for Naomh Brid with five of them coming from frees.
In the second half Naomh Brid went three points clear at 0-10 to 0-7 but Brackaville came back to level at 0- 10 each. Naomh Brid pushed ahead again but Brackaville showed character and levelled once more.
With time almost up and extra time a possibility Naomh Brid secured the win from another Shea Gates free. In that second half, Shea Gates scored a further three points with Eoin O’ Neill also getting three points.
Final score: Niamh Brid 0-12, Brackaville 0-11
