Nine  minutes into the second game at Dungannon and it was a point apiece. County player Kyle Coney had opened Ardboe’s account after two minutes but Mark Carson brought the sides level with a forty five metre free on seven minutes. Greencastle created the better opportunities but will probably rue the six wides they had in the opening eighteen minutes. However a forty seven metre free from Mark Carson put them 2-1 ahead but that lead only lasted a minute as Ardboe centre back Gavin Teague pushed forward to equalise for the Loughshore men. 0-2 each with nineteen minutes on the clock.

As the game entered the final five minutes of the half there was a flurry of scores as first Kyle Coney and then Anthony Devlin scored points for Ardboe to put them 0-4 to 0-2 ahead. However Greencastle responded with a fantastic point from distance by John Mc Cullagh to reduce the gap to a single point. As half time approached Devlin was involved again setting up Frank Mc Guigan for his first score of the day to leave the half time score Ardboe 0-5, Greencastle 0-3. Greencastle have been very dominant round the middle third but have so far kicked ten wides to Ardboe’s four.

The second half saw more wastefulness from Greencastle as they failed to add to their three first half scores. Ardboe’s half back line was particularly dominant denying the Greencastle players time and space while Anthony Devlin 0-1 and Kyle Coney 0-3 stretched Arboe’s lead to 0-9 to 0-3 with five minutes of this one remaining. Greencastle finally opened their account in the 25th minute of the second half  through Marty Conway and although John Mc Cullagh landed another minor for Sean Teague’s side Tommy Mc Guigan wrapped up the scoring with final point of the game to leave the final score Ardboe 0-10 , Greencastle 0-5.
