Greencastle secured the bragging rights over local neighbours and great rivals Gortin with a huge win in Friday night’s under 16 league fixture. The game finished 7-13 to 0-04 in favour of Greencastle who dominated from the start. The home side’s goals came from Kevin Conway(2), Sean Fox, Gavin Slane, Sean Mc Bride, Ciaran Gilen, and Shane Mc Guigan while other players to impress in a very one sided victory were Mel Mc Cullagh, Seamus Warnock, Sean Mc Bride and Dermot Mc Aleer. This win takes Greencastle to top place in the league, a point clear of their nearest rivals Beragh who played out a thrilling draw with Newtownstewart on Wednesday night in a game that finished 0-18 to 1-15.
