The early throw in saw relegation threatened Moortown and Kildress meet on the lough shore and the honours being shared with Moortown coming back from two down at the break 1-5 to 0-6 to tie the game 0-11 to 1-8. Gavin Tracey hit the Kildress goal while Frank Mc Gurk top scored with 0-5 for his team. Damien Kelly (0-2) and Matthew Heagney (0-1) completed the scoring for the Wolfe Tones Not the ideal result for either team but it took the pressure off quite a few teams sitting on ten points before today’s games began. Ryan Kelly hit five points for the hosts including a late equaliser.

Eglish did their chances of survival a power of good with a one point win over Ardboe on a final score of 2-11 to 1-13 in a highly entertaining and exciting game. Brendan Donnelly landed the match winner late in the game on a day when Peter Mc Cann and Ciaran Colton got important scores for the winners. Frank, Brian and Shea Mc Guigan as well as Mick Hagan, Anthony and John Devlin were all on target for the Rossas. Greencastle came from behind to defeat Donaghmore and guarantee senior football for Sean Teague’s side on a final score line of 1-8 to 1-7.  Mark Carson hit four points for the winners with Marty Conway getting the all important goal as well as two points for his team. Aidan Mc Cluskey (1-1), Shane Mulgrew (0-3), Niall Mc Kenna (0-1), Sean Mc Caul (0-1) and Mark Hetherington (0-1) found the target for Adrian Cush’s side.

Trillick and Derrylaughan played out a high scoring game at Donnelly Park with the home side showing great form to win 0-22 to 2-08. Trillick led 12 points to 1-05 at the break with Ritchie Donnelly hitting three in a row. Shea Coney found the net for the visitors. The second half was another high scoring affair with  another goal from Coney but Trillick were not to be denied and points from Dan Mc Donnell, Rory Brennan, Cahir Mc Cann, Daire Gallagher and Emmett Mc Fadden sealed a comfortable win for The Reds.

Clonoe defeated Killyclogher 4-10 to 4-8 with Conor Mc Aliskey hitting 3-4 in the first half. The O’Rahillys were coasting at the break leading 4-5 to 1-2 but slowed up in the second half as the visitors staged a remarkable  comeback but came up short by two in spite of goals from James Carlin,Leo Meenan, Conor Meenan and Ryan O’Neill . Defeated county finalists Dromore travelled to Annagher to take on the league leaders losing out 1-14 to 0-10 as the Fianna continued their excellent league run.

On a day when their reserves won the league title following a 0-8 to 0-8 draw with Omagh, Carrickmore lost the senior game at Healy Park 3-14 to 1-11. Omagh hit three fine goals from Cormac O’Neill, Martin Flanagan and Jason Mc Anulla to ease to a nine point victory. Errigal Ciaran fielded a much changed side from last week’s county final but still put Edendork to the sword 4-12 to 2-11 with goals from Stevie Mc Crory, two from John Kelly and one from Patrick Mc Dermott. Darren Mc Curry was on target with several points for his team and Niall Morgan scored a last minute goal but it made no difference to the final outcome as Errigal won comfortably.
