Dungannon enjoyed a very comfortable win over Fintona to consolidate their lead at the top of the division three table. The Clarkes made home advantage pay and brimming with the confidence gained from last week’s win over Brackaville they set about their task with enthusiasm. First half goals from Patrick Quinn and Chris Mc Kenna helped them reach the break 2-7 to 0-1 ahead. Adam Mallon with two frees and Sean Anthony Burns (0-3) were amongst the points for The Clarkes.

The home side continued to impress in the second half and netted a third goal from Kiefer Morgan with Patrick Quinn and Matthew Walsh adding to the points tally for the winners. Aaron Mc Carney was the only real scoring threat from a very disappointing Fintona side on the day when they were well beaten 3-13 to 0-04 by a side that looks destined to return to intermediate football.

Brackaville got their season back on the road with a hard fought but narrow win over a game Newtownstewart side. There was little between the sides throughout the first half as they were 0-5 apiece after eighteen minutes. A Kevin Gallagher goal for Newtown gave them a huge boost and they reached the break 1-8 to 0-7 ahead. However Brackaville showed considerable resolve and steel to level the game ten minutes into the second half  at 1-9 apiece. Marty Gervin, Sean Corr, Joe Rafferty and James Mc Ilvenna all got their names on the scoresheet for the home side.

Showing considerable bottle Newtown rallied and opened up a four point lead as the game entered the last quarter. Indeed they could have been out of sight but for a twice missed penalty from Ryan Mayse which saw Brackaville go straight down the field and score a goal of their own. With ten minutes left the Owen Roes were one ahead and held that slender lead right until the the fifty ninth minute but added two late points to edge a marvellous game 1-16 to 1-14. Newtown scorers Kevin Gallagher 1-3, Niall Mayse 0-5, Ryan Mayse 0-3,Conor Mayse 0-1, Pearse Canning 0-1, Stephen Mc Namee 0-1. Brackaville scorers: Martin Gervin 0-5, Joe Rafferty 0-4, Che O’Donnell 0-2, Sean Corr 0-2, James Mc Ilvenna 1-0, Paul O’Neill 0-1, Ciaran Gervin 0-1, Gary Ferguson 0-1.

Castlederg scored an early goal against Aghaloo but were well beaten by a side brimming with confidence as they prepare for the Junior final. The game ended Castlederg 2-2, Aghaloo 4-19. Beragh had a big win over Killyman with Marty Rodgers finding form and hitting 0-10 for his side as they finished 2-13 to 0-9 winners. Chrissy Devlin scored 1-1 with Damian Meenagh getting his side’s second goal.

Drumquin began well in their game with Brocagh hitting three first half goals courtesy of Benny and Stephen Gormley and Eamon Teague to lead at the break 3-2 to 0-8. However the visitors produced a very strong second half to win out 2-11 to 3-4 and continue their push for a playoff place.
