A couple of very interesting results and performances this afternoon in Division Two of the All County League saw Aghyaran come from 1-7 to 0-3 behind to Moy at the break to snatch a 2-8 to 1-10 win . A first half goal from Mark McConville helped Moy to a comfortable half time lead with Sean and Colm Cavanagh helping themselves to a few points. The home side improved after the break and goals from Michael Anderson and Anthony Devine gave them hope entering injury time. With the clock showing three minutes of additional time played Michael Anderson knocked over a priceless match winning score to leave the final result Aghyaran 2-8, Moy 1-10. Aghyaran scorers: Anthony Devine 1-5, Michael Anderson 1-1, Caolan dolan 0-2, Ronan Mc Namee 0-1.

Loughmacrory travelled to injury hit Galbally and came away with two very valuable points after one of their best displays of the season. The visitors were 0-5 to 0-2 ahead at the break and won comfortably with Ronan Ward starring for the winners getting most of their scores. John Gallagher and Mark Mc Cullagh played key roles in the Loch’s very important win. The Pearses were poor on the day with Ryan McGurk and James Lennon among their points. Strabane made sure of their place in the promotion play offs when beating Augher 1-7 to 1-6 at Sigerson Park. John Paul Gallagher, Warner Mullan, Aidan Cassidy and Jamie Donnelly were among the points for their respective sides with a Francis McMeel goal putting the visitors in front until Mullan scored a dramtaic last minute major to win the day.

Gortin repeated their championship win over Clann na Gael to take a giant step towards safety. Niall McGinn, Shane Clarke and Ciaran McGarvey got their goals with Kevin Mossey among the points as they triumped 3-8 to 1-8, Dominic Devine with the hosts’ goal with Stephen O’Neill top scoring for them. Derrytresk made home advantage count against Urney as it finished 1-16 to 2-8 with Niall Gavin top scoring with a number of points as well as their goal with Michael Robinson and Joe McKee also on target.

Pomeroy went goal crazy at home to Killeeshill as they recorded a thumping win at Plunkett Park with Sean Nugent and Stephen McKenna both scoring hat tricks and Hugh McNamee, Kevin Nugent and Eunan McCourt all finding the net as well. Eskra made sure of their Intermediate staus thanks to a 2-8 to 0-8 win at home to Rock with Niall Marlow and Peter Hughes getting their goals, Conor McCreesh with all but one of Rock’s tally.
