Less than ten months since it was first launched teamtalkmag.com has passed yet another amazing milestone that is testament to its success as the source of news and information on all things GAA in Tyrone. Only a fortnight ago we recorded unique visitor number forty thousand and are already on target to have hit fifty thousand by early August. However it is the speed at which the number of pageviews has grown that proves the worth and quality of teamtalkmag.com.
Tonight we recorded pageview number 500,000 or half a million as we like to call it. From modest beginnings the website has achieved incredible growth recording over ninety thousand pageviews in both May and June and is on target to exceed that total during July as well. The website contains over one thousand two hundred stories covering all aspects of GAA life within the county and adds on average four new stories a day. The speed and accuracy of the reporting ensures that it is used by thousands of people, including many journalists, every day to keep up to date with the fast changing face of Tyrone GAA.
The big story tonight was the news that Owen Mulligan has decided to walk away from the Tyrone senior football team right in the middle of preparations for the team’s key game in the next round of the qualifiers.
