Handball Coaching Clinic

A specialised Coaching Clinic based on how to improve fitness levels and conditioning in Handball
11am, Saturday 19th November
Citywest Hotel, Dublin

GAA Handball Ireland would like to announce the presentation of a specialised Coaching Clinic entitled ‘Developing the Athlete’. The clinic will be based on physical conditioning, and provide an in depth knowledge and ideas on how to improve the fitness levels and conditioning of competitors in relation to Handball. The clinic will be open for viewing to whoever wishes to attend.

Several top practitioners in their respective fields will lead the various sessions highlighted below:

The clinic will take place in the Citywest Hotel Dublin, and will provide all attendees with a taste of the venue of the 2012 World Handball Championships (Thursday 11th October – Saturday 20th October 2012). On the day, our current, and three times Men’s and Ladies Open World Handball Champions Paul Brady and Fiona Shannon will be present to provide a talk on the importance of physical conditioning and how it has played an important role in their continued success.
The clinic will be both theoretical and practical accommodating all levels of learning. The aim is that coaches will leave with ideas and information to bring back to their clubs which they can incorporate into their training to benefit players in their preparation for the forthcoming World Championships.
At the conclusion of the clinic coaches will be provided with copies of all the literature pertinent to the sessions.
