Harkin Tops Junior Championship Scoring Charts

The Junior championship title is the prize on offer in the first of the double bill of finals at Healy Park on Sunday afternoon but the top scorer in the competition comes from neither club. Glenelly’s Seamus Harkin has an impressive 2-18 to his name and is seven clear of Brackaville duo Che O’Donnell and Martin Gervin in joint second place. Aghaloo are represented in the top ten by Stephen Donnelly and Ruairi McGlone, beaten semi finalists Brocagh have Paul O’Neill and Ciaran Donnelly while Joe Rafferty takes Brackaville’s total to three players. Newtownstewart’s Kevin Gallagher is the only player in the top ten whose club didn’t reach at least the semi final and that makes his personal haul of 2-10 even more impressive since it only came in two games.
