History Being Made In St Pat’s Park
Tuesday 29.09.2020
History will be made tonight at Omagh’s St Patrick’s Park as the first ever game under lights goes ahead at the famous old ground.
In recent year’s Omagh St Enda’s and Drumragh Parish with the support of Club Omagh have improved the facility, a ground that once hosted the cream of Ulster championship, Mc Kenna Cup and Tyrone football over the years. The pitch and it’s facilities were the former home of Killyclogher St Mary’s and Drumragh as well as the St Enda’s.
Now a new state of the art lighting system will allow evening throw ins and training sessions. The Tyrone senior ladies have already made use of the facilties while the first official game will feature Omagh under 16s at home to Kildress as the host clubs continues to promote ladies sport as part of the Ladies Gaelic Football 20×20 campaign.
Tyrone ladies manager Gerry Moane, whose side has used the lights has been impressed with them and confirmed that his panel would be regular visitors to the ground.
