COUNTY | Holders Make Winning Start
Saturday 06.02.2016
Tyrone U21s made a winning start in defence of their Shamrock Cup title when they beat hosts Monaghan 1-14 to 0-11 at Cloghan on Friday evening. The Red Hands led 0-9 to 0-4 at the break with Paudge McAnenly, Ryan Loughran, Sean Loughran, Mark Kavanagh and Eoighain Murray getting their points.
Monaghan tried to keep in touch through the free taking of Adam Treanor but Frank Burns and Kavanagh points ensured that Tyrone kept them at arms length before a late Sean Fox goal sealed the issue.
