Tuesday 13.01.2026
Holy Trinity Cookstown 3-16 Rathmore 2-15
Holy Trinity are into the semi final of the MacLarnon Cup after they won a high scoring encounter with Rathmore Grammar School Belfast on Tuesday afternoon. The groundwork for their victory was done in the opening period as they established a 2-9 to 1-4 lead and while their opponents fought back in the second half the Tyrone lads had done enough.
Karol Wawrynkiewicz (3), Shea Rafferty and Jamie Concannon were all on target as Holy Trinity hit the opening eight points of the contest. Rathmore though hit back when a Conor Friel goal was followed by two points from the boot of Joe Logan. The winners though then seized control in the last five minutes of the half as first Ciaran McKeown and then Jack Muldoon got goals to leave them well placed.
Donnacha McGurk had a two pointer for Rathmore in response to a Yasin Baba point before Muldoon fired in his second goal of the game. Holy Trinity now were well in control and while Rathmore weighed in with points from Christopher Robb (3) and Ronan Taylor the damage had been done before Liam Catrson got a late goal for the Belfast side.
