Holy Trinity Cookstown 2-12 St.Ronan’s Lurgan 0-7
Holy Trinity Cookstown ensured that there will be three Tyrone schools in the latter stages of the Danske Bank MacRory Cup after they recorded a comfortable win over St.Ronans Lurgan on Saturday afternoon.

A James McCormick free opened the scoring but that proved to be the only time that the Armagh school would have their noses in front throughout the contest. Sixty seconds after that score corner forward Blaine Ryan palmed in a goal and Holy Trinity never looked back. Thomas Doris, Odhran Mulgrew, Pascal McClure and Mark Devlin all had points as they established a 1-4 to 0-3 interval advantage.

Shea Quinn and Cain France traded points on the restart before Cookstown midfielder Tarlach Quinn hit a brilliant goal in the 35th minute. At that stage there was only going to be the one winner with the Holy Trinity defence outstanding. McClure, Doris, Devin and Shea Quinn all added points with France and Oran McCafferty replying for St.Ronans. Quinn and substitute Ben Donnelly had the winners last two scores and they now go forward to meet reigning MacRory and Hogan Cup champions St.Michael’s Enniskillen.
