Holy Trinty Win In Markey Cup

Holy Trinity took on Newry Tech on Thursday morning in the Markey Cup at Clonmore in a clash between the two unbeaten sides in that section and it was the Cookstown lads who came out on top to ensure they won their group. Holy Trinity led by seven points at halftime but the Down school reduced the deficit to three before a goal from John Loughran gave the Tyrone lads breathing space. Declan McClure hit 1-5, full forward Loughran bagged two goals with Daryl Magee landing four points on a day when Niall McWilliams, Ciaran Blake, Eoin Coyle and Aidan Armstrong all played well for the winners.
