“Hub” Sees Red As Killeeshil Lose Again

Killeeshil are still struggling for their first league points following this latest defeat away at Derrytresk tonight. The home side started well and an early Niall Gavin goal put them ahead. The same player finished the half with 1-4 to his name as Derrytresk bossed the opening twenty five minutes but they were rocked back on their heels when Micky Mc Mullan netted for the visitors and the half finished 1-6 to 1-3 in favour of Derrytresk.

Early in the second half Killeeshil drew level following a goal from Eoin Donaghy before a point from Shane Mallon put them ahead for the first time. However their hopes of victory were dashed when Kevin “Hub” Hughes received a red card. Derrytresk rose their game and two goals from Liam Slater gave the home side victory and moves them further away from relegation worries. Final score Derrytresk 3-7, Killeeshil 2-7.
