Huge Challenge Awaits Minor Camogs

This Saturday Tyrone Minor camógs face Kerry in the All-Ireland Minor C Championship Final at Crettyard GAA, Co. Laois.
It’s a rematch of last month’s game in Bannagher, Offaly which saw Tyrone run out perhaps unexpected winners on a score line of 2-9 to 0-11 with that win resulting in Tyrone topping their group. That game proved the most tightly fought of the year with a very strong defence needed for the young Red Hands to overcome their most physical opposition.
Tyrone know they are in for a serious examination of their credentials when they face this Kerry side on Saturday. Scores will be hard to come by and the Red Hands cannot afford to be wayward with their chances.
Kerry can call on the likes of forward Amy O’Sullivan to cause all sorts of problems for the Tyrone rearguard. In the previous matchup joint captains Reagan Fay and Kira Donnelly made a huge contribution from the centre of the field while young forwards Lára Devlin and Kaitlin Gallagher penetrated the defence with speed and accuracy.
The management team of Eglish’s Barry Fay and Leona Gallagher will be hoping the girls remain focussed on playing their own game while continuing the excellent support play that has been their key feature on the run up to the final.
