Tyrone found Louth just a bit too hot to handle at Strabane this afternoon as the Wee County ran out convincing winners on a score line of 5-11 to 0-15 after a very entertaining game of hurling. Louth completely dominated the opening half and as their fine play enabled them to build up a half time 3-7 to 0-5 lead. Tyrone improved considerably after the break with Damien Casey’s accuracy in front of the posts proving crucial to their comeback. However Louth were not to be denied and with Diarmuid Murphy hitting a fine hat trick of goals they finished the game comfortable winners and Tyrone’s hopes of back to back league wins in Division Three A disappeared.
