Hurlers Just Miss Out On League Final

Tyrone Senior hurlers produced another high scoring performance but a late Danny Magee score denied them the chance of the win and an appearance in the Division 3A league final.
Once again Damian Casey was scorer in chief for the Red Hands registering thirteen of his team’s twenty five points. Conor Grogan (4), Bryan Mc Gurk (2) and Matthew Mulgrew (2) were also among the points for the Red Hands who led at the break 0-16 to 3-5.
Tyrone continued to hurl well after the break and when Casey landed his thirteenth point of the day three minutes into injury time, hopes were high that Tyrone would hold out for the win. Unfortunately from a Tyrone point of view that late Magee score tied the game and the draw was enough to send Armagh into next weekend’s league final.
