Hurlers Lose To Donegal

Tyrone senior hurlers took on Donegal in the opening round of the National Hurling League at Garvaghey but in spite of the best of efforts they came up short and lost out to their opponents on a scoreline of 3-23 to 1-18.

The Red Hands had been hoping to build on Friday night’s fine u20 win over Derry at Celtic Park and were looking quite good when they tied the scores at 1-14 apiece thirteen minutes into the second half. Unfortunately that was not how things turned out and the Donegal men claimed the points. Among the scorers for Tyrone were Aidy Kelly who  top scored with 0-12, Shea Munroe 1-0,  Aidan Woods 0-2 and Niall Mc Garel 0-2.
