Important Week For Tyrone Ladies.

It is a big week in the ladies game within the county as they mark the twentieth anniversary of their inception. On Tuesday night past a special County Board meeting took place in Omagh St Endas the location of the first meeting of the newly formed Ladies County Board two decades ago. It was a night of nostalgia and reflection which not only looked back at twenty years of challenges and progress but also planned for the challenges of the incoming year and beyond.
Next up for the Ladies of course is their annual Presentation Night which will take place on Friday December 9th in the Terrace Bar in Omagh. Proprietor Christy Mc Gale promises an entertaining night with plenty of banter and fun for all. Things will get underway at 9:30pm and there will be plenty of chances for interviews, photographs etc.
The Ladies game has come a long way in twenty years and has endured many highs and lows. However the resilience of those involved has ensured that this special anniversary has been reached in fine shape and there will be plenty of bright days ahead. The achievements on the club and county front this year have been notable, most especially Sperrin Og and Omagh St Endas while the county under sixteen side in particular showed real promise in spite of missing out on provincial glory.
