Impressive Moy Through To Last Four
Sunday 21.09.2025
Moy 1-19 2-9 Rock
A master class in shooting from Michael Conroy ensured that Moy would defeat Rock for the second consecutive season in the Connollys of Moy Tyrone Intermediate championship, again in O’Neill Park Dungannon
Rock, despite having to field without the injured Liam Nugent, got off to a great start. Thomas Mackle opened the scoring, and in the sixth minute, Diarmuid Carroll’s cracker flew into the net via the post. A Michael Conroy two point free got the Moy up and running, but Aidan McGarrity’s free extended the lead to four with ten minutes on the clock.
Rock were the dominant side, and scores from McGarrity and Caolan Chada kept them in front. Late scores from Conroy and Liam McGeary saw Rock lead by the minimum at the break.
Four incredible two point scores in the opening twelve minutes of the second half from the Go Man of the match, Michael Conroy effectively decided the contest. As the game entered its final quarter, Jamie Coleman forced an important turnover before releasing Eunan Deeney, who charged forward before picking out Ryan Coleman, who added the finishing touch for a super goal.
The lead was now nine, and further frees converted by Conroy extended it further.
Patrick Lavery did pick up a late black card as Rock tried to get back into it, but their only reward was an Aidan McGarrity goal in the final minute.
It was fitting that Michael Conroy had the final say as he finished with an outstanding personal haul of 0-15, with the last score of the match.
