In grade one Carrickmore were very unlucky to lose out to a last gasp goal away to Eglish as it finished 5-12 to 6-7. The visitors trailed by eight points at the end of the opening quarter but they fought back to get on level terms by halftime thanks to goals from Michael Loughran (2), Sean Slane, Finbarr Donaghy and MJ Penrose. 1-2 from Slane in the second half had Carrickmore in front only to concede that late goal on a day when they had good performances from Shea Martin, Slane, Donaghy and Eoin Daly.

 

Loughmacrory edged the verdict away to Cappagh, 0-13 to 1-8. The home side had a strong wind at their backs in the first half and they made it count to lead by eight points at the break despite the fact that Loughmacrory keeper Oisin McAnespie doing well to find a man with his well placed kickouts. In the second half Jamie Mullan and Mark Harte kept the scoreboard moving for Loughmacrory before a couple of late Michael McCrystal points put the visitors in front. McAnespie then pulled off a brilliant save before another McCrystal point sealed victory. Louis McFadden top scored for Cappagh with 1-2 to his name, Shea McGinn got a trio of points with Caolan McKinny getting a brace and Ronan Barton also on target.

 

 

In grade two Greencastle battled hard at home to Clonoe despite having nothing to show for their efforts at the final whistle. Michael McElduff 1-2, Fionn Harte 1-1, Cailum McKenna 1-1, Conor Molloy 0-2 and Sean McGlinchey 0-2 were the Greencastle scorers.

 

Na Doire Oga proved too strong for Dromore away from home. Tomas Goodwin, Sean Colton and Louis Turney fought well at the back for the St.Dympnas while Oran Kelly and Patrick Turner featured among their scorers.

 

Errigal Ciaran managed to hold off the challenge of Beragh at Dunmoyle, 7-5 to 3-15 the final scoreline. Mark McDermott 3-1, Eddie Loughran 1-2, Cahir Magill 1-1, Conor McCrystal 1-0, James McGinley 1-0 and James McAnenly were the Errigal Ciaran scorers with Fionn McCaughey, Aaron Nixon and Niall Kelly playing well in their defence. Pearse Moore converted a penalty in each half for the Red Knights with Dan Curran, Enda Teague and Aidy Farley featuring among the points on a day when Martin McNamee, Conor Donnelly, Farley, Ronan Conroy and Donnchadh Daffy played well for them.

 

 

Fintona produced a fine display to account for Dungannon on home soil. Ryan Myers, Ryan Fee, Daniel Colton, Thomas Kania, Lorcan Gallen, Barri McLaughlin and Fionn Donnelly were among the Pearses scorers on the day.

 

Owen Roes shaded the verdict away to Kildress 7-5 to 5-5 with good performances coming from Calvin Diver, Luke Doherty and Daire Houston.

 

In grade three Eskra turned on the style to win away to Edendork. Dara McNamee 0-12,  Daithi McNamee 3-2, Cormac McGarvey 1-2, Ruairi O’Hagan 0-3 and Jack McCarroll 0-2 were the scorers for the Emmetts with Conor McKenna and Conal Kelly playing well in their defence.

 

Castlederg edged the verdict away to neighbours Drumquin on a 3-7 to 2-7 scoreline. Kaeden Gormley and Joe O’Kane scored the goals for the Wolfe Tones with Sean Gormley and O’Kane getting points.

 

Both Domhnaigh were in fine goal scoring form away to Tattyreagh. Jamie Doherty 4, Darragh Smyth 3, Darragh O’Kane 2, Jamie Clarke, Conal McGurk, PJ Bradley and Darragh Marlow all found the net with Tiernan Teague in goals playing well as did defenders Cahir Conway and Emmett Hasson.

 

Trillick made home advantage count against Clann na Gael at Donnelly Park. Tomas McElholm top scored for the St.Macartans with 1-7 to his name with Jack McGurren, Daithi McGurren, Conor McAleer and Matthew Farry all among the scorers as well on a day when Braonain O’Kane, Senan McElholm and Conor Kelly helped keep Clann na Gael out.

 

 

In grade four Aghyaran collected their first win of the campaign thanks to a fine display at home to Brackaville. Liam Connolly was in outstanding form scoring 4-6 with Charlie Byrne 1-4, James Harvey 1-0, Daithi McHugh 1-0, Garbhan Anderson, Daryll Dolan and Ryan McNulty their other marksmen with good performances coming from Eoghan O’Neill, Seanach McHugh, Oisin Connolly and Cianan McHugh.

 

Clogher proved too strong for neighbours Augher away from home. It was a good all round team display from the Eire Ogs with great scores coming from Enda Moynagh and Eoin Cullinan while Michael McConnell and Christopher Coyle had solid games. Riley Shevlin hit four points for Augher with Fintan Deery getting a brace while Patrick McKenna in goals made a number of crucial saves.

 

 

Urney staged a second half revival that just came up short away to Stewartstown, 1-9 to 2-4 the way it finished. Mark Nelis got Urney’s only point in the first half and after the break team Captain Harry Sweeney led by example with 2-1 to his name but the visitors just came up short.
