In Grade 2 Drumragh U14 held off a strong second-half comeback from Coalisland to maintain their unbeaten start to the season at Clanabogan on Saturday morning. First-half goals from Eamon Barrett (2) and Cahir Keyes helped give Drumragh a good lead at half-time. Matt Gallagher kicked some fantastic scores in the opening half while Conor Murray, Peter McGuigan and Mark Walsh restricted the Coalisland forward line well.

 

Despite early scores from Niall Gormley and Ollie Hagan, Coalisland came storming back into the game, leaving three points in it, with 10 minutes to go.

But Drumragh responded well and further goals from Eamon Barrett and Ollie Hagan, and points from Conor Fyffe and Niall Gormley, made sure of the win.

Errigal Ciaran recovered from a slow start to win away to Dungannon. Mark McDermott 4-3 and Conor McCrystal 1-4 were their leading scorers with Eddie Loughran, James McGinley, James McAnenly and Cillian Curran finding the net as well with Matthew McCrystal, Aaron Nixon and Shea Devine playing well in defence.

 

Beragh produced a fine display as they made home advantage count against Dromore. A goal in each half from Ronan Conroy provided a platform for the winners. Ronan O’Loane and Enda Teague also scored goals with Aidan Farley among the points on a day wen the Red Knights had strong performances from Tiernan Kelly, Sean Boyle, Daniel Curran and Gaelin Carr. The main scorers for Dromore were Patrick Turner and Paudie Edgar with Sean Colton, Patrick O’Neill and Conor Teague very good in their defence with Joseph Corrigan working hard in midfield.

 

Castlederg produced a high scoring display to comfortably see off the challenge of neighbours Naomh Eoghan in Grade 3. Star of the show for the winners was Caidan Harold who banged in eight goals with Kian McMenamin 1-2, Coric Donaghy 0-3, Cormac Meehan 1-0, Caidan Keenan 1-0, Aodhan Gallagher 0-2, Nathan Glackin 0-2, James McCrabbe, Lorcan McHugh and Oisin Harvey their other marksmen on the day.

 

Aghyaran recorded a good win away to Clann na Gael. Charlie Byrne 2-4, Garbhan O’Donnell 1-3, Oisin Connolly 1-0, Ryan McNulty 1-0 and Tiarnan Catterson were the St.Davogs scorers with good displays coming from Reuben McMenamin, Oisin Connolly, Flynn Browne, Daiti Gormley, Daithi McHugh and Cianan McHugh.

 

Kayden McGirr hit 2-1 with Caolan Fisher also getting a goal and Charlie McGroarty and Liam Og Murray among the points for Errigal Ciaran in their Development game with neighbours Carrickmore.
