J&K Coaches U16 Wrap Up

In grade 1 Errigal Ciaran were emphatic winners at home to Clonoe. Mark McDermott scored a hattrick of goals with Aodhan Quinn, Finan Neill and Conan Canavan finding the net as well while Caoimhin Conroy, Dan Loughran, Elliot Kerr and Matthew Hackett were among their points with Lorcan Murray very good at full back.
Cappagh played out a 1-9 to 2-6 draw at home to Eglish. Shea McGinn got their goal with points coming from Thomas Meenan, Ronan Daly, Daithi McMullan and Cairnan Devine with some great defending from Oliver Barton, James Maguire and Caolan McKinney.
Fintona made home advantage count against Carrickmore. Tiernan Donnelly and Peter Colton weighed in with 1-4 each for the Pearses with Dermot Martin [2], Paudi Goodman and Dara McMenamin also on target while Cillian Morgan and Cillian Donnelly stood out ion their defence.
In grade 2 Drumquin were 3-9 to 1-12 winners away to Beargh. Jake Donnelly [1-3], Eoin Ferris [1-2], Joseph Kearney [1-0], Kieran McDonagh [0-2], Sean Gormley and Harry McMenamin were the scorers for the Wolfe Tones with Caoilinn Sharkey doing well in goals for the winners with Joe O’Kane and Jack McCusker to the fore in their defence.
Dromore proved to be convincing winners at home to Coalisland. Nathan McCusker top scored for the St.Dympnas with 0-8 to his name with Sean McCusker, Ryan McQuaid and Oisin Colton bagging their goals with Liam Dillon hitting three points and solid defensive displays coming from Tiernan McCarron, Sean McCusker and Girwyn McGirr.
Both Domhnaigh scored a late goal to edge past Pomeroy on home soil. Eoin Maguire got the crucial major which helped tip the balance in the end. Sean McGlone, Jack McConnell and Michael McGarvey had points for the winners with keeper Pearse Kerlin making a couple of excellent saves and Emmet Hasson and Jamie Clarke both putting in big performances as well.
Trillick were 2-13 to 2-9 winners at home to Kildress. Conor Corry and Matthew Garrity got the St.Macartans goals with that duo and Peter Garrity getting the baulk of their points between them with Aodhan Corry, Peadar Daly, Ryan McGurren and Turlough O’Hagan all playing well too. Eoin McNally and Daniel McCrory got the Wolfe Tones goals with Shea Mullin, Emmett Heagney and Eoin Cassidy among their points and keeper Tommy Mullin pulling off a brilliant double save.
Greencastle lost out at home to Galbally. Tarlach Tracey [1-1], Shane Molloy [3], Marcus Conway [2], Shane Morris, Sean Og O’Neill, Michael Meenan and Myles McElduff were the St.Patricks scorers with Conway their standout player in the middle of the field.
In grade 3 Owen Roes secured a narrow 1-10 to 0-12 victory away to Castlederg. Ross Doherty scored the only goal of the game with Oisin Kelly, Lorcan Kelly, Daire Houston among their points. Kelly and subs Houston and Eoin Doherty all played well with Travis Logue at left half back their man of the match. Eoghain Bradley, Cathaoir Keenan and Dylan McCrory all played well for a Castlederg side who were unlucky not to have anything to show for their efforts.
Drumragh shaded the verdict in a thriller away to Urney, 6-7 to 4-8 the final scoreline. The Sarsfields scorers were Matt Gallagher 1-4, Dara Cox 2-0, James Fyffe 1-2, Shea Mullin 1-0, Conor Fyffe 1-0 and Niall Burt 0-1. Drumragh led by two points at half-time following a goal-heavy opening 30 minutes. Dara Cox, Matt Gallagher and Conor Fyffe were the Drumragh goal scorers while Matt and James Fyffe added the points. Tiernan O’Donnell, Sean O’Donnell and Matthew Barrett had good games in defence throughout helping Drumragh get the win. James Fyffe and Shea Mullin scored early goals in the second half, while Matt Gallagher kicked three points after the break. Niall Burt and James Fyffe were also on target. Dara Cox rounded off the scoring with a goal with the last kick of the game. Cathair Linsay and Conor Redstone got goals for Urney with Jude Burns, John Porter and 13year old Oran McGavigan all playing well.
Eskra were 4-12 to 5-7 winners away to Strabane. Daithi McNamee, Eoin McEvoy, Dara McGarvey and Mattie McKenna were among the scorers for the Emmetts with the O’Hagan brothers Ruairi and Darragh excellent in defence.
In grade 4 Naomh Eoghan proved too strong for Tattyreagh at home. Conor Doherty, Daithi McNamee, Cahir McKenna and Conn Kelly all scored goals with McKenna and Conor Durey grabbing a few points each while Cormac Devine had a great game in nets.
Clogher were 3-10 to 3-8 winners away to Brackaville in a keenly contested clash. Micheal McConnell played excellent for the Eire Ogs with some vital interceptions while Niall McKenna was very industrious with quite a few scores and Oisin McElroy weighed in with a few goals.
