With three of the four quarter finals down for decision this weekend the race to see who will finish top of the junior championship scoring charts will really begin to hot up. Killeeshil’s Ciaran Bannon is the early pace setter after a superb individual haul of 3-2 in the opening round against Castlederg but hot on his heels are Aghaloo duo Stephen Donnelly and Sean Douglas and that should add extra spice to the tie of the round at Augher on Saturday afternoon. Beragh’s Martin Rodgers is in joint second place but the Red Knights aren’t in action until next weekend while Niall Gavin and James Winters are also in early contention with their two sides meeting at Galbally on Saturday afternoon. Cathal Nicholas, Duncan Hyman and Damian Connolly are all level on six points but they won’t be adding to their haul as their sides are all out of the championship.

Ciaran Bannon [Killeeshil] 3-2
Stephen Donnelly [Aghaloo] 0-8
Martin Rodgers [Beragh] 1-5
Niall Gavin [Derrytresk] 0-7
Sean Douglas [Aghaloo] 1-4
Cathal Nicholas [Glenelly] 0-6
Emmett Hackett [Errigal Ciaran Thirds] 2-0
Duncan Hyman [Tattyreagh] 2-0
James Winters [Drumquin] 2-0
Damian Connolly [Clogher] 2-0
