It’s semi final time in the Junior championships this weekend and the race is hotting up to see who will emerge leading score in the competition. Martin Rodgers scored 1-5 for the second championship game in a row and that has propelled him to the top of the charts although his efforts weren’t enough to prevent Beragh from crashing out at the hands of Fintona. That position is likely to change after this weekend with Derrytresk’s Niall Gavin and Killeeshil duo Ciaran Bannon and Shane Mallon all within touching distance with Errigal Ciaran Thirds trio Emmett Hackett, Michael Harte and Damian McDermott as well as Fintona’s Niall Mellon in contention as well.
