The action in Division Three today resulted in wins for Derrytresk and Killeeshil as both sides continued their great start to the new season. Derrytresk maintained their 100% record with a very comfortable win at home to Carrickmore Thirds. The Hill Men laid the foundations for a very convincing win in the first half when they held their opponents scoreless while registering 2-9 themselves. Niall Gavin top scored for his side during this period with 1-5 while Micky Rea also managed to find the net for the home side. The second half was much more even as both sides landed four points apiece but the winners never looked in any danger. This win moves Derrytresk to joint  top of the league with a perfect five out of five record and is their best start to a season for many years.

Derrytresk were joined at the top of the table by a Kevin Hughes inspired Killeeshil who brushed aside the challenge of their opponents Tattyreagh this afternoon. The hosts had been hoping to get something from this game but Hughes and his colleagues were in no mood to be charitable as they hammered Tattyreagh 2-10 to 0-4. County man Hughes helped himself to two goals and it was his second, early in the second half that finished the game as a contest. Killeeshil led 1-2 to 0-3 at the break but Hub’s second goal sealed the game. The visitors continued to dominate the exchanges and Packy Mc Mullan and Rory Mc Cann helped themselves to a few points each as they ran out convincing and worthy winners.
