Killeeshil Move Joint Top
Wednesday 08.06.2011

A Kevin Hughes goal midway through the second half inspired Killeeshil to victory over a Drumquin side that was missing top scorer Eamon Teague who is currently out of the country working. Although it took Drumquin until the 20th minute to open their account they had managed to claw their way back into the game to lead 0-6 t0 0-5 seven minutes after the break as three early second half points pushed them ahead by the minimum with Ryan Mc Callion and Niall Mc Alynn among the Wolfe Tones scorers.Paul Daly replied with a point for the home side and with Killeeshil well fired up for the second half Kevin Hughes fired to the net to give his team a lead they were never to lose. Shane Mallon and Rory Mc Cann got points for their side with Gary Reilly knocking over the last score of the game. In the final analysis it was Hub’s goal which proved the difference at the end and the St. Mary’s move to the top of the table above their great rivals Aghaloo on score difference.
