Killeeshil Take Top Spot

Killeeshil St Mary’s moved to the top of Division Three following a four point victory over Beragh Red Knights in their round ten league fixture at St Mary’s Park Beragh on Friday night. The winners were in commanding form from the start and led six points to no score after points from Rory Mc Cann, John and Packie Mc Mullan and Shane Mallon. Beragh did manage to open their account and closed the gap before the break but Killeeshil were never in trouble and reached half time leading ten points to six following scores from Gary Reilly, Rory Mc Cann, Shane Mallon and top scorer Packie Mc Mullan. The second half was much closer on the scoreboard with both sides registering four points apiece but Killeeshil were never in trouble and led by six points with time running out only for the home side to get the final two scores of the game to leave the final score Beragh 0-10 ,Killeeshil 0-14. This result sees Killeeshil move two points clear at the top of the table as they maintain their current good form even without county player Kevin Hughes.
