Omagh 0-10 2-13 Killyclogher

Killyclogher travelled the short distance to Healy Park on Thursday night and claimed both league points and local bragging rights in a dress rehearsal for their upcoming championship clash. A goal in each half from Gavin Potter proving decisive, before a crowd containing many interested onlookers.

A lively opening quarter saw the sides share six points. Omagh then edged in front with scores from Callum Daly and Barry Tierney before a brace of Paddy Corcoran points sandwiched a duo of Cormac McGettigan scores to regain the lead for the visitors. The first goal was to arrive from the restart. Killyclogher capitalized on a mix up in the Omagh defence to force a turnover, with a swift pass to release Gavin Potter to find the net in the 27th minute.

Fionnbharr Taggart and Oisin Miller reduced the deficit before Conal McCann pointed to leave four between them at the short whistle.

Omagh who were forced to field without injured trio Aidan Clarke, Conor Meyler and Ronan O’Neill started the second half brightly. Bradley Fox kicked his second point of the game but they failed to build on that score and Killyclogher responded with another Conal McCann free and a third McGettigan point to ease clear.

As the game entered its final quarter, Tierney scored again but points from Jordan Barton and Paddy Corcoran and a breakaway goal expertly finished by Potter in the 56th minute ensured victory for Eoghan Bradley’s men.
