Killyclogher Defeat Carrickmore In Senior Replay
Thursday 26.09.2024
Killyclogher are through to the semi finals of the senior championship after a narrow but deserved win over Carrickmore in Omagh on Thursday night.
In a low scoring affair, Carrickmore’s tactic of sitting deep and depending on the counter attack cost them dearly as it took them until the fifty fifth minute to get their first score from play.

With Mark Bradley in outstanding form Killyclogher were the better team throughout and could probably have made the final few minutes a bit less of an ordeal for their supporters had they not made a mess of a fisted effort with the clock edging towards added time.
Danny Fullerton opened the scoring for Carrickmore from a converted forty five buts points from Nathan Donnelly, Mickey Rafferty and Bradley had Killyclogher two ahead with twenty minutes on the clock.

Both teams sat deep at times and relied on counter attacks from turnovers when the ball was carried into the tackle. Carrickmore looked sharp at times and three points in a row from Fullerton and Rory Donnelly sent the teams off at the break with the men in green and gold leading 0-4 to 0-3.
Killyclogher began the second half strongly with three points from the outstanding Bradley to open up a two point lead before Michael Rafferty added another point to the Killyclogher total as the game entered the final ten minutes.
Carrickmore were struggling for possession and opportunities but scored their first point of the half from Danny Fullerton with five minutes remaining. A pointed effort from Lorcan Mc Garrity made it a one point game as the Carrickmore fans finally found their voice. The pushed forward in search of an equaliser but Killyclogher with Danny Gorman, Emmett Mc Fadden, Nathan Donnelly and Tiernan Mc Cann in determined mood denied them any opportunities close to goal. One final score from Bradley secured the win and sealed their place in the semi final.
Final score: Killyclogher 0-8, Carrickmore 0-6
