Killyclogher and Errigal Ciaran played out a 1-9 to 0-12 draw at Ballinamullen in a game where neither side really did enough to win. Despite having two highest scorers in the division on show the game lacked any great offensive flair with both defences on top. Killyclogher’s Mark Bradley looked the player most likely to be the difference between the teams but both he and Leo Meenan were starved of quality possession in the second half as Errigal’s back line worked hard to deny the pair time and space on the ball.

Killyclogher reached the break two points in front but that lead was overhauled within two minutes of the restart following scores from Patrick Mc Dermott and Daisy Mc Dermott. The home side managed to hit three points in a row from Niall Mc Fadden and a brace from Leo Meenan but Errigal refused to concede defeat. Neil Mc Garvey was introduced and gave his team a key presence in the middle third. Late points from Daisy Mc Dermott and Mark Kavanagh drew the sides level but Mark Bradley had one last chance to win it for Killyclogher but his free sailed agonisingly wide.
