Killyman are safely through to the quarter final of the Tyrone Junior football championship despite only scoring two points in the second half against Errigal Ciaran. The match was played in Eglish this evening in front of approximately 200 spectators and most of them must half though that the game was well and truly over at half time as Killyman went into the break with an eight point lead 1-7 to 0-2.  Former county minor Enda McGahan was causing lots of trouble for the Errigal men in the opening thirty minutes and he finished the half with 1-2 to his name.  Up front Damian McNulty was also in fine form firing over 0-3 during that time.  The two Errigal points came from Peter Campbell and Emmett Quinn.

With Tiffy Quinns half time team talk still ringing in their ears Errigal opened up with two Michael Harte frees before Niall McAlinden put Killyman seven clear with a nice point.  1-8 to 0-4.  That point marked Killyman’s last contribution to the game for some twenty three minutes as Errigal introduced Eoin Gormley and Peter Loughran from the bench.  Gormley sparked a huge revival for Errigal scoring three points in a ten minute spell.  Killyman didn’t help their cause when Conor Boyle received a straight red card in the 49th minute.  As the game entered injury time Damian McNulty slotted a free to ease Killman nerves but Errigal Ciaran could have drawn the match late into added time when a short free from Mickael Harte was flashed over the bar from a deflected Eoin Gormley shot.  Much then to contemplate for the Killyman management team of Niall O’Neill and Brian Taggart as they prepare their team for the quarter final.  Final Score Killyman 1-9 Errigal Ciaran 0-10.
