Ladies Championship Wins For Moy and Cappagh

There were wins in the ladies championship for Cappagh and Moy on Saturday. Cappagh hosted neighbours and rivals Drumragh and ran out convincing 3-14 to 1-5 winners. Cappagh bagged two first half goals which put them in a strong position at the break and they added a further 1-6 while restricting their opponents to four second half points. Kathryn Donaghey got the Sarsfields goal while Neamh Woods (2), Beth Donaghey (2) and Josephine Quinn scored their points. Teri Mc Cusker top scored for Cappagh with 2-6 while Caitlin Kelly (1-6) and Grainne Mc Cann (0-2) were also on target.
Moy, with Caoimhe Magee outstanding at midfield, ran out convincing winners against Loughmacrory 7-16 to 0-6. Nina Murphy had her shooting boots on and finished with 3-1 while Emma Conroy’s 2-4 was worthy of note. Aine Swail and Casey Gallagher also found the net for Moy while Emer Currie (4), Lucy Conroy (2) and Catherine Donnelly (2) were among the points for the winners who led 4-11 to 0-2 at the break.
