The new Ladies All County League fixtures have been released for divisions one and two while a delay for division three will see them released later in the week. A streamlined all county league has always been the target for Tyrone and new fixtures secretary Brian Mc Callion has worked closely with clubs and county management to unveil a new look league that gets underway on Sunday April 15th.

Fixtures are scheduled for Sunday evenings, a traditional match day set in stone and while there will be some leeway Mc Callion confirmed that there will be no weeknight fixtures in the adult leagues. Confirming the new structures County Chairperson Donna Mc Crory welcomed a set evening for games.

“It means that after men’s games on the Sunday supporters can stay and support their ladies teams. I understand there will be the odd change required but it was vital to have a set day for games. Brian has worked with management and county board to ensure that girls will have time with their teams and county sides.”

Ten teams will contest the senior first division and newcomers Drumragh will face a baptism of fire in the opening round with a trip to Ulster club champions and seven in a row chasing St Macartans. Intermediate champions Aghyaran will head to Pairc Colmcille while there’s a local derby as Errigal welcome Killeeshil. Sperrin Og who will hope to have Niamh O’Neill back from her studies host Glenelley as Aodh Ruadh head to the Loughshore to face Ardboe

Once again Division two could well be hotly contested with ten teams also set to battle it out. Promoted Castlederg and Clonoe will fancy their chances as being real contenders after the progress they have enjoyed. The Derg side come into 2018 as the only team with a 100% unbeaten record last term and to add a bit of spice to the programme the promoted sides face off on the opening day.

The teams that came down from division one, Clann na Gael and Sigersons will hope for a quick return while Clann face Dromore with Sigersons  home to Loughmacrory. The hotly tipped Donaghmore meanwhile will open at home to Cappagh as Omagh head to Fr Rocks.
