LADIES FOOTBALL:  TYRONE RETURN TO HEALY PARK

After their second loss in the Bord Gais national league Tyrone finally have a home tie this Sunday with Kildare the visitors to Healy Park. Last Sunday Laois came back strong in the third quarter and did enough to claim a 3-10 to 1-11 win. Once again injuries and the unavailability of players hampered Tyrone and it’s unlikely that situation will improve over the next week or so. Neamh Woods and Eimear Teague are carrying knocks while Laura McGillion and Christiane Hunter are out until at least March. Kildare have also lost their two opening games being well beaten by Dublin on the opening day while Donegal proved too strong for the Lily Whites last Sunday.
Tyrone boss Gerry Moane has welcomed the return to Healy Park this weekend,
” Omagh is the home of Gaelic games in Tyrone and it’s only right that our senior ladies get their chance to impress on the county’s biggest stage. I would appeal to all the clubs in the county to make an effort to come out and support our girls”
