Ladies Launch “Role Models” Campaign

“Your Role Models Right Here” is the exciting new social media branding exercise from Tyrone ladies football that has already grabbed the attention of ladies football followers throughout the county and beyond.
The project focuses on players, past and present, who have represented Tyrone ladies football. The players are captured in a familiar action pose, providing younger players with role models they can aspire to.
Launched last week, thousands have reacted to the series of inspirational photos. Clubs in the county have been asked to share the images on their own social media sites with particular focus on the home clubs of the players featured.
Speaking this week county secretary Rita Hannigan welcomed the initiative from the county media officer and team.
“We know we have the quality players and high profile names in our own county that younger players can look up to. We have had them for years. We should be shouting about them. We have seen lots of interaction with the posts so far and it’s a way of making our players past and present even better known.”
The campaign will see the likes of former stars Eilish Gormley, Cathy Maguire and Gemma Begley joined by current stars, Niamh O’Neill. Christiane Hunter and Neamh Woods as the featured players. The campaign will be rolled out throughout the year as the county celebrates its thirtieth anniversary.
