Ladies League Finals

The Ladies Senior and Intermediate League finals were decided on Sunday evening with history being created by the girls of Coalisland Fianna. The Blues defeated Kildress in the Intermediate decider 3-11 to 3-9 having led at the break 3-7 to 0-4 and will play senior club football for the first time in the club’s history next year.
The senior final took place at Fintona before a large and vociferous crowd who backed both teams all the way to the final whistle. Macartans played with the elements in the first half but went in at the break a point behind after Aoife Horisk hit the net for Errigal on the stroke of half time 1-4 to 0-6.
The second half was every bit as competitive and exciting as the first had been with a second Aoife Horisk goal on twenty three minutes proving to be the key score of the game. In fairness to Macartans they battled right to the end but the combination of some wayward shooting, stout defending and great goalkeeping prevented ensured that the 2024 Senior League title went to Errigal Ciaran.
