Errigal Ciaran powered back to the top of division one with a comfortable 9-6 to 2-3 win over Omagh at St Patrick’s Park. Shannon Quinn, Lycrecia Quinn, Maria Canavan and Alisha Gormley were all among the goals against a St Enda’s side minus a handful of regulars. Omagh’s goals came from Cara McCrossan and Shauna Brown.The visitors were impressive from start to finish although Omagh did rally in the second period.
In division two Glenelly eased to a 4:13 to 1-1 victory over Donaghmore while Ardboe turned in a stunning second half display to beat Dromore at Michael Coney Park.
With Orla O’Neill and Emma Smyth among the scores early on Dromore led 1-8 to 1-2 at the break, Wylie with the O’Donavan Rossa goal. Niamh Teague and Maeve Wylie goals put Ardboe on track after the restart and the visitors could only manage two further points as Ardboe claimed the win 4-12 to 1-10.
In the big East Tyrone division three derby at Fr Campbell Park, Coalisland edged to a two point win over Edendork in an entertaining tussle. The visitors enjoyed a period of dominance in the first half and Laura Roberts points gave them a lead before a seven point haul from the Fianna. Maura Mc Clure 0-4, Una Robinson, Niamh Mc Kernan and Emma Mc Erlean saw them lead 0-10 to 0-6 at the break.
Maura McClure who moved from midfield to full forward latched on a Coalisland goal, the visitors rallied and found the net twice and after exchanging points it took a Laura Kelly save at the death to secure a 1-16 to 2-11 Fianna win.
