Cappagh travelled to Moy on Saturday morning and came away with a hard
earned victory. The Killyclogher girls, playing into a stiff breeze,
opened the scoring with a well worked point. Moy's response was
immediate scoring 1 01 without reply. However goals from Samira
Berrabah and Ciara McDermott
saw Cappagh go in at the break leading 2 03 to 1 04.
Moy hit a purple patch at the start of the second half but were
unable to break down a resolute Cappagh defence. Cappagh then regrouped
and with the wind on their backs found their shooting boots
establishing an unassailable lead when Louise Sloan hit Cappagh's third
goal with 10 minutes to go. Despite playing into the breeze Moy continued
to make a game of it and finished the game with a further 1 02. Final score
Moy 2-6, Cappagh 3-11.

First day of the minor league produced a great win for the Sigersons ladies on the road. The winners dominated the 1st half of their game with Pomeroy as the strong full back line of Aoife O’Kane and Leah O’Hagan denying the Pomeroy forward line any chance of a score in the first half at all. Strabane’s new signing Michaelina McGonigle opened the scoring with a great point and then went on to score 3 goals and another point before the half time whistle sounded. Sigersons completely controlled the half and extended their lead with scores from Erin O’Hagan, Megan Boggs and team captain Aine O’Connor also.

Half time score Strabane 5-7 Pomeroy 0-0.

The second half saw many changes to the Sigersons team with Vicki McLaughlin coming on. The girls found it tough in the second half as they were playing against a strong wind. Pomeroy began to win more possession and scored two fine points and a goal. Pomeroy then had an excellent chance on goal only for goalkeeper Kerry Duffy to make a fantastic save. Chloe McCafferty and Megan McDonagh came on to settle the Strabane defence and a great run from Shania Connolly from the half back line resulted in Strabane’s first point of the second half.

Pomeroy then responded with another point but Katy McGillion and Niamh Maguire’s persistent hard work helped prevent the winners conceding further scores. Megan Boggs scored another fine goal in the closing minutes to ensure that the Strabane ladies were going down the road with a win! Final score Strabane 6-8 Pomeroy 1-2.

Glenelly defeated Carrickmore in the opening round of the ladies Minor League campaign 7-10 to 3-7. The winners opened the scoring with a goal from Orla Kennedy. Carrickmore responded with two points from Leanne McKernan and Eve Loughran, but Glenelly replied with scores from Siobhan Sheerin and Emma Kirk.

The second quarter saw Carrickmore push forward and pressure the Glenelly defence, with Eimear McPhillips and Niamh McElduff adding points, and a quick goal rebounding off the crossbar saw Carmen back in the game. However Glenelly responded in fine form with Michaela Morris and Emma Kirk hitting 3-01 between them to leave the half-time score at 5-03 to 1-4 in the home team’s favour.

The second half saw an early exchange of points from both sides. After a tentative opening Glenelly dominated, with Emma McCullagh and Roma O’Hagan having outstanding games in defence. Carrickmore refused to give up and added 2-02 to their tally. However, Glenelly finished stronger with goals from Siobhan Sheerin and Emma Kirk and ran out deserving winners in the end 7-10 to 3-07.

Glenelly scorers: Emma Kirk (2-4) Michaela Morris (2-03) Siobhan Sheerin (2-02) Orla Kennedy (1-01)
ROCK 2.12 OWEN ROE O’NEILL’S 1.04
The Rock played host to Owen  Roe O’Neill’s in the first round of the league and after
an evenly fought first half led by a solitary point on a score-line 1.03 to 1.02 with goals coming from Elaine Ward and Amy Rose Harte respectively.

The second half was a different story with Rock in control for much of the half with Ward hitting the net again. Chloe Devine knocked 3 fine points for Owen Roe’s and the Rock had a range of point scorers, but a special mention
must go to Rock’s defence for providing the platform for the forwards to express themselves. One sour note for Rock though Megan Lagan was carried off injured.

Sperrin Og’s league campaign got off to a good start with a home victory over Omagh St Endas on a score-line of 7-9 to 2-1. Aileen Tuohey opened the scoring for Sperrin Og with a goal, closely followed by another from Claire Coyle. This seemed to set the pace for the game as the home side added further scores through Claire Tuohey, Shauna Morris, Aileen Tuohey and Eadaoin Fox.

It was Niamh O’Neill who was next to find the net for Sperrin Og and she followed this up with 2 superb points from play. However, Omagh did manage to find the net before Sperrin Og added yet another 2 goals and 2 points to leave the score 5-8 to 1-0 at the break.
The second half saw Sperrin Og playing against the breeze, although Claire Tuohey and substitute Michaela Gillen did manage to find the net, along with a point from Eadaoin Fox. Despite Omagh St Endas adding a goal and a point to their tally in the second half, Sperrin Og finished the half in dominant form and were deserved winners on the day.

In spite of being low on numbers Aghyaran made the long journey to the Lough shore and came away with a hard fought but deserved 6-11 to 4-11 win over a gallant Ardboe side.

The visitors took a while to settle as Ardboe got the first couple of scores. There were some fine scores from both teams in what was a very entertaining high scoring game with Aimee Coyle starring for the winners.

Aghyaran scores came from; Aimee Coyle 4-8, Aiobhanin McHugh 1-1, Sasha Byrne 1-0, Aoife Byrne 0-2.

Mna Na Deirge minors headed to Eskra on Saturday for their 1st league game in division 1 against St Macartans.
The home team scored the 1st point but the Derg girls responded straight away with a point from Erin Gallagher.
Even though goalkeeper Sarah Campbell was in great form the home side ran up 5 goals and a point before half time.
Mna Na Deirge battled hard with Niamh Mc Laughlin scoring a point & Roisin Devlin finishing with a goal.
Half time score in favour of St Macartans 5 - 2 to 1 - 3.
St Macartans opened the second half with a quick fire 1-1 as their forwards continually kept the pressure on with
Chloe Mc Caffrey in splendid form. The Castlederg girls had no luck whatsoever but in spite of trailing heavily
they continued to play good competitive football. Anna Harper added a point to the team's tally before the final whistle.
The final score definitely did not reflect the overall balance of the game but the more experienced team won on the day.
Final score St Macartans 8 - 11 to Mna Na Deirge 1 - 4.
