Errigal Ciaran joined St Enda’s in the last four of the Patrick Fahy and Co Solicitors senior football championship tonight as they easily accounted for Cappagh tonight at Pairc Colmcille. It was certainly a night to remember for young Errigal forward Shannon Monaghan. She has at least one toe in the Teamtalkmag.com Golden Boot after racking up 4-3 of her sides 7-14.
All the goals were of the highest quality and they all came in the second half. Errigal had led 2-12 to no score at the break. Cailin McCann with the goals and points from Maria and Aine Canavan, Selina Oguz and Shannon Quinn. Cappagh’s scores came from Clodagh Poyntz, Aishling Porter and Caitlin Kelly. The match was refereed by Brian McCallion who had made some sensible decisions given the fact that the game was played in some slippy conditions.
